The Central Library holds a vast collection of books and journals, to support and facilitate the research and academic activities of the Institution. The library resources include 13044 medical textbooks, more than 100 journals subscribed per year with 2, 634 archives of journals, 988 collections of CDs and 108 post-graduate dissertations. Every year the library is updated with the latest editions of books, journals, and WHO publications (journals and handbooks).
The library is user-friendly and widely assessed by undergraduates, postgraduates and faculties. The reading rooms are air-conditioned and well-lighted with a comfortable seating facility. There is a reading area outside the library for students to utilize their own reading material and do group studies.
Journals & Magazines:
The central library has a collection of national and international journals which are indexed in DOAJ, Pubmed, Citation Index, and Medline. More than 100 medical journals related to various disciplines, including WHO journals are subscribed every year. We have around 2456 collections of back volumes of these journals. The new arrival journals are well displayed in the separate rack for easy sessions by students and faculties.
The Digital library has 40 computer nodes with 24-hour internet facility for searching recent advances in the field of medicines. It also provides access to e-journals and e-resources like Delnet and Proquest. The students and faculties are given access to remote usage of the library, which enables them to access the library at any time needed.
