Sri Venakteshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Puducherry affiliated to Pondicherry University was established in the year 2005 under the umbrella of Ramachandra Educational Trust, Chennai. First MBBS batch was admitted in 2007 after obtaining MCI recognition. We got the first renewal of MCI recognition in the year 2012 and next renewal in 2018. Our Institution has 28 departments including various super specialty departments with MD, MS – PG coursers functioning in a full fledged manner.    

      Each department is provided with adequate infrastructure, state of the art equipments and other facilities. In our Institution, we have talented, dedicated faculty members with vast subject knowledge and soft skills recruited across the country, along with the adequate supporting non teaching staff.   Our Hospital is equipped with 1100 beds and we have the surplus number of Outpatient & Inpatients in order to meet the requirements of the MCI norms.  Regular camps are conducted and free treatment is given to the deserving   patients. 

Our Hospital is providing health care services in and around Puducherry through its specialty and super specialty departments. We are maintaining NABH standard in health care services with more success rate even on challenging cases on par with other reputed institution.

Our library is equipped with enormous number of text books for Postgraduate & Undergraduate courses, Journals and e-learning facilities.  We provide internet facilities to the faculty, Postgraduate & Undergraduate students.

We have good ambience with lush green garden which provide a good environment.  Premium Hostel A/C and non A/C rooms are available with delicious food.

Many of our students are passing out with flying colours with good number of University ranks and distinctions and easily getting into both inland and foreign PG courses, to state and central government services and defence services. Our endeavour is to provide best to the students and they become competent to handle the responsibilities of the Medical profession. 

          Our students are provided with adequate knowledge and skills to become competent health care professionals to serve the community and suitable platform is also provided to exhibit their talents in both curricular and extracurricular as well as other outreach activities in both inter and intra collegiate cultural and sports activities.
