Overview

Department of Anesthesiology is a major “service-providing” department. We provide a very good standard of perioperative care to all surgical patients of various specialties. We also provide quality pain management services to patients afflicted with chronic pain. In addition, we provide intensive care services to the critically ill patients.

Facilities

Well-equipped 12 Major and two minor operation theatres are available. Various equipment and devices with cutting-edge-technology have been procured to improve the comfort as well as safety of the patients. Portable Ultrasound machine (SonoSite- Edge II) is available for guiding the regional blocks, pain-relief procedures, arterial/central venous cannulation, cardiac evaluation, etc. All varieties of surgical procedures are performed with meticulous care by the team of surgeons and anesthesiologists. Besides, emergency procedures are taken up round the clock.

Department Library:

Latest editions of world class text books as well as journals are available. Updated every year with high quality text books written by internationally reputed authors.

Department Museum:

Museum has collections of old equipment having historical significance and charts describing the breakthrough events that helped the field of Anesthesiology to progress in leaps and bounds.
