Diabetology

Overview

Our patient centered dedicated diabetology department was started in the year 2007, since then we provide all types of treatment for diabetes and its complications, through our outpatient and inpatient services. Besides clinical assessment, we assess the risk related to diabetes by means of modern equipment like VPT (Vibration Perception Threshold), ABI (Ankle Brachial Index), and DYANSYS (Dysfunction of Autonomic System), so that end organ damage is detected very early and assessed from time to time.

Through our continuous updation and innovation we assess the diabetes affecting the other systems such as renal, heart, nervous system and eye by renal function tests, ECHO, TMT, VPT and eye examination are done as per standard protocols.

Dietary services are available on all days and tailor made diet advice is being given on individual basis by our experienced team of dieticians. As mortality is high in diabetics due to silent ischemia, cardiologist advice is obtained every now and then for all patients.

In general, all diabetics are checked on monthly basis and if co-morbidities are found, frequent checkups are undertaken.
